Requests for Media Credentials

ASLRRA urges members of the press who plan to attend CONNECTIONS 2017 to register in advance to obtain complimentary access credentials.

Registration confirmation will be sent to news media representatives; press badges must be picked up onsite at the ASLRRA pre-registration desk at the Gaylord Texan. Media credentials must be visible at all times at the convention events.

Media/Press Registration Guidelines
Those requesting complimentary media registration must be currently employed by a publication or news organization. The complimentary media registration will allow access to the general sessions, breakout sessions and Expo hall but not other ticketed events, including the PAC dinner.

Each publication or news organization is limited to no more than one media representative. Publication sales, advertising and marketing staff are not eligible for press registrations.

You must fall under one of the following media guidelines to receive press credentials:

  • Business and Trade Publications/News Wire Services
    Reporters and editors from magazines, newspapers, trade publications, and wire services must provide a business card. Contributing editors and reporters must verify they have been retained to cover ASLRRA by presenting a letter of assignment.
  • Television and Radio
    Broadcast reporters and producers from news organizations must provide a business card and a letter of assignment.
  • Freelance Writers
    Freelance writers must verify they have been retained to cover the ASLRRA event by presenting a letter of assignment.
  • Online Publications
    Reporters from online publications must provide a business card and a letter of assignment. The website must contain editorial content and cover railway industry issues. YouTube sites, Twitter pages, personal blogs, and forums will not be considered for media registration.

Social media
ASLRRA authorizes and encourages media representatives to utilize social media. To assist in this regard:

  • event organizers have released an official event hashtag for attendees, exhibitors, speakers and news media who are on Facebook and Twitter: #ASLRRA2017CONNECTIONS
  • please use this hashtag where appropriate to help convey news/happenings from the event and your coverage.
