ASLRRA represents its short line and regional railroad members before the federal government, monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory initiatives, commenting on behalf of its members and testifying before Congressional committees. ASLRRA strives to keep Congress and the agencies informed about the role and needs of small railroads, and to keep its members well informed about developments in Washington that will affect their business operations.
