THE BEST OF SAN ANTONIO TOUR: SHOPPING, COOKING, LUNCH, AND A TOUCH OF GLASS Monday, May 2; 9:30am - 3:00pm; $75 per person; Spouse must be registered to purchase a ticket
The spouse tour will begin on Monday morning as you start your day with our motor coach driving through the quiet of the morning to Marti's Boutique for mimosas and shopping. Marti's is opening early so you can shop in private, enjoying all the beautiful clothes and jewelry. This is the newest upscale boutique from Laredo. Ratablos, linens, fine jewelry and exquisite home furnishings will be on display. From Marti's, you'll travel to the El Mercado, Mexican Market, for more shopping. For those wanting a pastry, the Mi Tierra bakery will be open and available for those who wish to sample a Mexican pastry. But don't eat too much as your next stop will be the cooking class at Boudro's private space. Here you'll spice up the day with some of the finer things that San Antonio has to offer: Boudro's Guacamole and Prickly Pear Margaritas. It's caliente and it's cultural and educational. We're told that you will talk about this interactive class long after it is over. Taught by one of the owners and excellent staff of Boudro's, this interactive class includes instruction for making Boudro's famous guacamole and award-winning Prickly Pear Margaritas. Following the cooking demo and enjoying the guacamole and margaritas, lunch will be served at Boudro's. After lunch, you will board the bus for a short trip to South Town and the glass shop of Gini Garcia. You will be provided a private demonstration by Gini Garcia. Gini has been written up in Southern Living and is becoming famous for her chandeliers. There will be time to shop in her retail studio before heading back to the hotel.
