| On October 28, 2005, the FRA issued a final rule concerning the Reflectorization of Rail Freight Rolling Stock under 49 CFR Part 224. A copy of this rule can be downloaded by clicking here. This document responds to petitions filed by the AAR, TTX Company, and 3M, for reconsideration of FRA's January 3, 2005, rule mandating the reflectorization of freight rolling stock. This document also amends and clarifies the final rule and lifts the stay of the rule's effectiveness published on May 26, 2005. These amendments become effective November 28, 2005. |
