As mandated by the Federal Communications Commission, all railroads must transfer their wireless communications from 25 kHz (wideband mode) to 12.5 kHz (narrowband mode). The ASLRRA Technology Committee has been working with the FCC and industry providers to keep railroads informed of the requirements and deadlines.
