• Awarded to the railroad with the most hours that has a 0.00 frequency rate, according to the FRA website.
• Awarded to the member railroad in the following categories with the lowest frequncy rate, below the industry average:
  • Greater than 250,000 man-hours
  • 150,000 - 250,000 man-hours
  • 50,000 - 150,000 man-hours
  • Less than 50,000 man-hours

Most Improved Award - Selected from a list of nominees based on a series of criteria, to include money, men and materials provided by that railroad to demonstrably improve the safety performance and culture.
