Expo Hall
11:45am - 1:00pm

The ASLRRA-PAC is hosting its 2nd Annual Pinewood Derby at the Annual Convention with the help of a local Boy Scout Troop. The Derby will be held in the Expo Hall during Wednesday's lunch. This is run like a traditional Pinewood Derby except the cars will be locomotives.

To participate, please go to and make a personal contribution of $250 to the ASLRRA-PAC. After completing the transaction, please email that the donation was for the purchase of a Pinewood Derby "Locomotive". Ashley will then send you a 3 oz. pre-cut pinewood locomotive and wheel and axle package for you to assemble, decorate, and design. Personalize your ASLRRA-PAC locomotive with colors and decals of choice to represent your company or favorite team. Please bring the finished locomotive to the Annual Convention to race it on Wednesday, April 6.  The winner of the Pinewood Derby will have his/her name engraved on the trophy and will carry the title for the next year.  We will continue to add the winners' names in the coming years to this prestigious award.

If you arrive at the convention and decide that you would like to participate, we will have a limited number of locomotives for purchase there. The official rules can be seen below and will be mailed to you with your locomotive. For more information or to order your car, please contact Ashley Bosch at 202-715-1247 or
