Bus Tour - Tuesday, April 4

 

Take a behind the scenes look at multimodal cargo operations on a landside tour of the Port of New Orleans. The guided bus tour will give attendees a first-hand look at the Port's breakbulk and container terminals that includes on-dock rail with the Mississippi River Intermodal Terminal and nine ship-to-shore gantry cranes.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Transportation: Buses will pick up passengers at the Sheraton New Orleans at 1:30 p.m. or Hilton Riverside New Orleans at 1:45 p.m. for the Port Tour by Bus #1 (Tour: 2:00-3:30 p.m.)

Buses will pick up passengers at the Sheraton New Orleans at 3:45 p.m. or Hilton Riverside New Orleans at 4:00 p.m. for the Port Tour by Bus #2 (Tour: 4:30-6:00 p.m.)

Port Tour by Bus #1 – 2:00-3:30 p.m.  (SOLD OUT, Waiting list SOLD OUT)

Port Tour by Bus #2 – 4:30-6:00 p.m. (still a few seats available)

Max Capacity: 54 people

Dress Code: Please make sure you wear closed-toe shoes.

 

Boat Tour - Tuesday, April 4

 

There’s no better way to truly grasp Port NOLA’s regional economic impact and its connection to global markets than to see the vibrant working riverfront for yourself. Join Port of New Orleans and New Orleans Public Belt Railroad staff on-board a working fire boat to experience port operations from the Mississippi River. Learn about the many facets of the Port's four lines of business — cargo, rail, industrial real estate, and cruises.

Duration: 1 hour

Transportation: Buses will pick up passengers at the Sheraton New Orleans at 1:30 p.m. or Hilton Riverside New Orleans at 1:45 p.m. for the Port Tour by Boat #1 (Tour: 2:00-3:00 p.m.)

Buses will pick up passengers at the Sheraton New Orleans at 3:30 p.m. and Hilton New Orleans Riverside at 3:45 p.m. for the Port Tour by Boat #2 (Tour 4:30-5:30 p.m.)
