Operating across 49 states and Washington, D.C., railroads form a vital national network, moving goods essential to the economy and daily life. They transport intermodal containers, chemicals, agricultural products, autos, construction materials, pulp, paper, and energy resources like ethanol, crude oil, and coal.
To keep America’s freight moving, the industry needs strong public policies that help railroads invest in infrastructure, improve safety, and create value for our customers.
