WASHINGTON, December 18, 2020 - Leaders of three short line railroads and their key customers met with U.S. Senator Robert “Bob” Casey, Jr. (D-PA) for a discussion that included the value of freight rail to the economy, permanence of the Short Line Tax Credit (45G), which enables railroads to invest more of their private funds into infrastructure upgrades via a tax credit, and short line railroads’ resiliency during the COVID pandemic.
