FRA Part 243 Minimum Training Standards and the Impact on Part 214 / Part 217 Training Requirements

Join railroad industry colleagues for this two-day training seminar led by FRA and ASLRRA subject matter experts. The seminar will offer an in-depth review and discussion of Part 243 Minimum Training Standards to ensure railroads have a complete understanding of the requirements, tools, and resources, along with available templates, plans, and policies. The speakers will also address how Part 243 interacts with training requirements of Part 214 Roadway Worker Safety and Part 217 Efficiency Testing. Attendees will engage in classroom discussions of rule requirements and all questions will be answered by subject matter experts.

Registration includes two full days of training — Wednesday and Thursday — at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla with daily lunch and refreshment breaks provided in the meeting area. Daily breakfast is included in the room rate and provided in hotel dining area. Additional details will be sent via email to registered attendees prior to the meeting.

ASLRRA Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made 30 or more days before training will receive a full refund; no refunds will be given if cancellation is made within the 30-day window.

Hotel:

A block of rooms has been set aside and training will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla, 4550 La Jolla Village Drive.

Additionally, guests should advise the hotel at or before check-in of any changes in planned length of stay to avoid early check-out fees (currently, one nights room and tax charges).

San Diego is served by the San Diego International Airport (SAN) and passengers may access ground transportation via taxi, ride share apps, and rental cars on site. The Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla hotel is 14 miles from the airport.
