The Sheraton is honoring the negotiated rate of $274/night plus taxes and fees, and all sleeping room reservations are being transferred with a rooming list provided by the Embassy Suites. Please do not call the Sheraton at this time, as they are in the process of reserving rooms and may not be able to provide confirmation right away.
The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown hotel is located just 4 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. As noted in Friday’s Know Before You Go email, registration includes two full days of training from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, plus an optional Short Line DER Roundtable from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Additional details, including the meeting room location, will be sent later today or tomorrow so please keep an eye out for additional emails from Sabrina Waiss.
Join railroad industry colleagues and subject matter experts for this three-day event covering 49 CFR Part 219 Drug and Alcohol Training, presented by FRA and ASLRRA subject matter experts. This popular training seminar delivers an in-depth review of Part 219, including all sections of the rule and requirements for railroads and contractors, and offers attendees a forum to engage in interactive discussion of rule requirements and practices.
Day three of the event includes a Short Line DER Roundtable featuring presentations and discussions specifically designed for short line railroad Designated Employer Representatives. The DER Roundtable is designed to spur conversation and foster collaboration, allowing DERs to openly discuss unique challenges, share best practices, and expand their professional network.
