Advocacy & Image

ASLRRA represents and promotes the industry's interests on Capitol Hill with lawmakers and regulators, working to eliminate unfair taxes and promoting common-sense regulation. ASLRRA's full-time, active lobbying team deals with issues that can help or hurt our industry, such as Positive Train Control and the 45G tax credit, and coordinates grassroots outreach and on-site events with legislators and member organizations. Staff experts serve and represent association members on important industry committees and groups, including: Railway Industry Working Group (RIWG); RSAC, and Class I Caucuses.

Working closely with the Short Line Safety Institute, ASLRRA members have access to Safety Culture Materials, and valuable Safety Culture Assessments.
