Douglas Golden Scholarships

ASLRRA is awarding $36,000 in scholarships to employees of small railroads, thanks to three generous donations from retired former board member Doug Golden, through the Douglas Golden-Mary Cullen Charitable Fund.

Scholarships of up to $1,200 each are available to employees of small railroads, defined as those earning $10 million or less in annual revenues. The online application process is quick and easy, and scholarships are awarded to qualified candidates on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Scholarships may be used for industry-specific training that will help improve railroad safety & compliance practices and enhance overall operations. Eligible topics include: track, bridge, and signal inspection & maintenance; locomotive and freight car inspection & maintenance; regulatory/compliance training; and, railroad safety and operations training.
